Meet Vidya Unnithan
NDIS Support Coordinator & Psychosocial Recovery Coach (Newcastle & Hunter
Region)
With more than a decade of experience across disability, mental health, and employment
services, Vidya brings depth and compassion to her work as a support coordinator. She
has supported participants through complex health needs, chronic conditions, and
psychosocial challenges, using trauma-informed and person-centred approaches.
Vidya’s strengths include crisis intervention, advocacy, and helping participants make sense
of the NDIS system so they feel confident and supported. She has extensive experience
working collaboratively with service providers, families, and health professionals to ensure
participants receive the right care at the right time.
Her qualifications include a Master of Social Work, a Diploma in Disaster Management,
and certifications in Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, Motivational
Interviewing and LGBTQI Inclusive Practice Training.
